I try to take our family pictures as much as I can by setting up a tripod and using my self timer. It’s quite a struggle, to be honest. It’s sooo important to hire a photographer, even if you’re a photographer. This past Spring, Haley, a very dear (and VERY talented) friend of mine drove down from Spartanburg to do a little backyard session for me. She also photographed Nick and I when I was pregnant with Everett; something apparently I failed to share on here, also, so I’m going to add a slideshow at the bottom because I just love her work so much!
Haley also took a video while she was shooting, and I tell you, the woman is so talented you never know she is documenting all that she does! The video brought me to tears (as usual!) and is at the end of this post. I cherish these photos and the video so very much. I look at them often when I feel the stresses of mothering starting to pile up. They remind me of how long I dreamed of this sweet baby and the life we have raising him.
and, yes, I realize in the majority of these Nick is missing; he was napping, haha! trying to wake him up is like waking a sleeping bear! ;)
