So this session was more fun than I expected! You guys know I’m soo not a prop person. I often find that when props are involved, the person I’m photographing becomes as still as the props around them. I get nervous like something is expected of me that I can’t deliver. This session was opposite of that! Kate gave me full creative control. She brought the outfits and I brought the vision. She also brought her husband, who is an artist and fellow creative so when my vision got stuck, he stepped right in to help complete it. (insert praise hands here) I truly feel it would have been a bust without his assistance!
Can I just tell you how amazing this woman is? She is a warrior and survivor! She inspires me as a mother, she is one of my go-to people when I feel like I’m failing at everything. She has never let her health issues take away her faith and hope in Jesus. When she has been brought to her lowest of lows, she chooses to PRAISE. Do you guys realize how hard that is when the odds aren’t in your favor sometimes?! I’ve often read her words after knowing what she’s going through with POTS and seizures and pain and thought to myself, “How, how, how is she able to continue living with such gratitude?!” The love of Jesus is indeed powerful.
I so enjoyed celebrating this sacred time with her and laughing until my stomach hurt!
