Photographing families at home is where my heart lies. I love stepping into your world and your happy place. The place where you hold your babies when they get booboo’s and are full of tears. The place where you mark their growth on the door frame. The place where music flows through the house and the sound of laughter lingers long after everyone goes to bed. You may not be in this old house forever so the memories held here need to be held.
It’s very important to me that I capture families authentically. I spend a little time with the children in their rooms listening to them tell me about the things they love the most. I raise my camera when they feel comfortable, never forcing them to pose.
And pets? I looove your pets! They deserve their own portrait, too! ;)
