Ben and Morgan actually got married in Florida this past Spring right after she graduated college. They had been living in different states for years as their relationship grew. I don’t know if this age old saying of “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” is true for everyone, but it’s clearly true in their case. You can tell by the way they interact with each other that they have learned to savor every single moment together.
At their rehearsal, I noticed Ben running his fingers through Morgan’s long hair as they carried on a conversation with their families. My mind immediately went into daydream mode of them 50 something years down the road with Ben doing this same thing or perhaps another tender display of affection for his darling bride. There’s something about weddings that sends my mind flying into the future of the couple holding a monochrome photograph of their wedding day, looking into each others eyes now wrinkled with wisdom, and remembering the joy that flooded their souls on that special day.
